Lizzie Fletcher, Democratic Candidate for Texas’ 7th Congressional District, Launches First Broadcast Buy for the General Election
“A Little More Houston” Puts Focus on Houston
Houston, Texas – Lizzie Pannill Fletcher, Democratic candidate for Congress Texas’ 7th Congressional District, today released her first television ad of the general election.
Titled “A Little More Houston,” the ad showcases Fletcher’s professional experience representing a diverse group of Houstonians—its businesses and the people that power them—and her voice as the bipartisan champion Houston needs. It provides a contrast to Washington politicians, who can learn from the innovative culture that defines Houston. This first commercial will run on broadcast and cable channels.
“How we do things in Houston should be a model for our leaders in Congress,” Fletcher said. “We work together, we solve problems, and we take pride in our community. I will use my experiences from this community to rebuild a Washington that works across the aisle—and works for all of us.”
Lizzie is the Democratic nominee in Texas’ 7th Congressional District, a district that Hillary Clinton carried in the 2016 election. CNN, Sabato’s Crystal Ball, and Daily Kos all recently changed Texas’s 7th Congressional District to a key “toss-up” race in their 2018 election rankings. Lizzie is the first woman partner at AZA, a Houston law firm, where she has represented businesses and Houstonians from all walks of life, helping them find solutions to complex problems. She has been recognized by her peers as one of the ‘Best Lawyers in America’ in U.S. News and World Report. She co-founded Planned Parenthood Young Leaders, and currently serves on the boards of directors for Writers in the Schools (WITS) and Open Dance Project.

Here in Houston…
We innovate. We create. We care. And we work together.
Especially when we have problems to solve.
I’m Lizzie Fletcher and I’m proud to have worked with Houston businesses and the people who power them–from the oil fields to the Med Center to the Ship Channel–
To keep us moving forward.
Congress can learn a lot from us.
Democrats and Republicans need to work together.
I approved this message because we need a little more Houston in Washington, DC.
