Congresswoman Fletcher Announces Raising More Than $600,000 Combined in Latest Fundraising Report
Unchallenged in Democratic Primary, Fletcher Poised to Enter General Election with Financial Advantage
HOUSTON, TX — Today, Houston Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07) announced raising more than $600,000 toward her re-election effort during the final fundraising quarter of 2019. She raised more than $550,000 into her campaign committee and more than $50,000 to her victory fund, a joint fundraising effort with the Texas Democratic Party. Fletcher has raised more than $2.3 million this cycle, and she enters 2020 with $1.8 million cash on hand.
Without a primary challenge, Fletcher enters the election year with a significant financial advantage that will be necessary in the second-most expensive media market in Texas. In the 2018 general election, Fletcher’s campaign spent $3.5 million on television advertising. Over the course of the 2018 cycle, she outraised her general election opponent by nearly $3 million.
“I am proud of the coalition of support and the work we have done to bring a little more Houston to Washington, D.C,” said Fletcher. “I am grateful for the sustained support of the people who live and work in my district and those who share our values and vision for our country and support our efforts to work together to deliver real, common-sense, and much-needed solutions for the people.”
