Harris County Commissioner Adrian Garcia Endorses Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher for Re-Election

HOUSTON, TX — Today, Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07) announced that Harris County Commissioner Adrian Garcia has endorsed her for re-election in 2022.

“Congresswoman Fletcher has been a true partner,” said Commissioner Adrian Garcia. “She works with local leaders and finds solutions by bringing people together. I proudly endorse her for re-election and know that with Lizzie continuing to serve us in Congress, our area will continue to flourish. She’s who we need in DC to get the representation we deserve.”

Since she was sworn into office in 2019, Congresswoman Fletcher has worked with leaders from across the greater Houston area, and she has a proven track record of bringing diverse voices together in order to advocate for common-sense solutions and deliver meaningful results for her constituents.

A second-term Member of Congress, Fletcher was first elected to represent Texas’ Seventh Congressional District in 2018 after a decisive victory over nine-term Republican incumbent John Culberson, becoming the first Democrat in more than 50 years and the first woman ever to represent TX-07. In 2020, she was re-elected over one of the National Republican Congressional Committee’s best-funded challengers. In 2022, she has already been endorsed by EMILY’s List, the Latino Labor Leadership Council of Southeast Texas, Bold PAC, and Run Sister Run PAC. As of September 30, 2021, she had raised more than $2 million toward her re-election and has nearly $1.8 million cash on hand for her campaign.
