Lizzie Fletcher Releases Ad Calling on John Culberson to Answer for Skyrocketing Drug Prices

Houston, Texas – Lizzie Pannill Fletcher, Democratic candidate for Texas’ 7th Congressional District, today released her third ad of the general election focused on lowering prescription drug prices. The ad calls out John Culberson’s record of inaction on the skyrocketing prices of prescription drugs that have impacted people across our community.

“Our community needs a representative who is willing to work with both parties to address the crisis of skyrocketing drug prices,” said Fletcher. “People of all ages and backgrounds deserve access to life-saving medicine at an affordable cost. In Washington, I will work to ensure that our community stays healthy and that health care is not a luxury good.”

One Way,” highlights how Fletcher will make it a priority to fight for lower costs by enabling Medicare to negotiate lower drug prices, something John Culberson has refused to do and has voted against. This ad, Fletcher’s third commercial of the general election, will run on broadcast and cable starting today.

Transcript “One Way:”

One way to lower health care costs
is by letting Medicare negotiate for lower prescription drug prices.
But John Culberson is just taking orders from the pharmaceutical industry.
John Culberson took over $100,000 dollars from pharmaceutical companies,
then voted to give them a 42 billion dollar tax break,
and voted against letting Medicare negotiate lower prices.
I’m Lizzie Fletcher and I approved this message
because I’ll work with both parties to bring down drug prices.
And I’ll only answer to you.
