Fort Bend County Judge KP George Endorses Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher for Re-Election

Houston, TX—Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07) announced she has earned the endorsement of Fort Bend County Judge KP George for her 2022 re-election.

“Congresswoman Fletcher’s passion for serving the greater Houston area is undeniable and I know she is ready to work for our community,” said Judge KP George. “She is principled, committed, and the advocate we need in Washington. I am proud to endorse her re-election to represent Texas’ Seventh Congressional District, and look forward to welcoming her with open arms to Fort Bend County.”

“I am proud to earn the endorsement of Judge George, a strong leader who is deeply committed to our community,” said Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher. “I look forward to working with him to advocate for our diverse and dynamic district and to move our entire community forward.”

In addition to Judge KP George, Congresswoman Fletcher has earned the endorsements of Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner, EMILYs List, BOLD PAC, the Latino Labor Leadership Council, and Run Sister Run PAC for her re-election campaign, demonstrating the breadth of support for Congresswoman Fletcher and the continued diversity of the coalition she has built since her first campaign in 2018.

A second-term Member of Congress, Fletcher was first elected to represent Texas’ Seventh Congressional District in 2018 after a decisive victory over nine-term Republican incumbent John Culberson, becoming the first Democrat in more than 50 years and the first woman ever to represent TX-07. In 2020, she was re-elected over one of the National Republican Congressional Committee’s best-funded challengers. In 2022, she has already been endorsed by EMILY’s List, Bold PAC, the Latino Labor Leadership Council of Southeast Texas, and Run Sister Run PAC. As of September 30, 2021, she had raised more than $2 million toward her re-election and has nearly $1.8 million cash on hand for her campaign.
